Moscow, Kalinin Prospekt in 1975

Moscow in 1975: Kalinin Prospekt was the main avenue that runs through the Arbat District. The term Prospekt indicates is a broad, multi-lane and very long straightstreet in urban areas; it is often translated as “avenue”. Milan, the “darsena” of Porta Ticinese in 1964

The dock of Porta Ticinese in Milano (Italy), also known as the “Darsena”, in a 1964 postcard. Its basin collects water from the Naviglio Grande canal and feeds the Naviglio Pavese canal. Built in 1603 by the Spanish government, the “darsena” was used as freight dock until  1979. Commons
