You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.
Managing a site like Lapůta involves considerable expenses: renting the server, purchasing the necessary software, backups, security... and then we have also to buy the beer books we need, the licenses for the images with which to illustrate the articles (yes, even the images may cost); but above all it costs hours and hours of work to search, do some research (we still go to the library), write, revise, paginate, do maintenance... a huge work whose result is available to everyone.
We don't care, we have beer fun.
